Obituary for Frances Moffitt Easter

Frances Moffitt Easter of 920 Rose Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, November 11, 2013 at her home.
Frances was born March 11, 1926 in Bold Spring, TN to the late Charles Staten Moffitt and Zula Mae Tharp Moffitt. She was a 1947 graduate of the Chesapeake and Ohio School of Nursing, and she retired from private duty nursing after many years. She was a faithful member of St. Stephens Anglican Church and loved her family, genealogy, gardening and reading.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joel "Jack" Easter and her daughter, June Lee Easter. She is survived by her children, Becky (James), Betsy, Jay (Gay) and Lisa(Patrick); grandchildren, Beth (Scottie), Melissa (James), Melinda (Dave), Ann, and Jennie (Ian); great grandchildren, Kadie, Trey, Trevor, Kadin, Carter and Colton; her brother Robert Moffitt (Linda) of Jacksonville; and sister-in-law, Janie Easter of Clifton Forge. The family would like to give special thanks to Mountain Regional Hospice staff and her special aids and caregivers. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Father Thomas McHenry officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be James Woodall, Dave Desler, Patrick Webb, James Hayes, Scottie Averill and Ian Black. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the residence, 920 Rose Avenue, Clifton Forge.
