Bonelva Bradley Estes (Bunny)
Bonelva "Bunny" Mae Bradley Estes, 83, of Madison, died at home on Easter, April 20, 2014, with her daughters by her side. She was the daughter of Leslie Emil "Brad" Bradley and Darlene Breckenridge Bradley. She was born in Wheeling on Nov. 25, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon Jo Bradley McCune; and husband, Arthur "Bud" Estes. Bunny lived in Clifton Forge, Va., Winfield, W.Va., and New Haven, W.Va., before retiring to her childhood home in Madison. She attended WVU, Medical College of Virginia and West Virginia State College. She served as EMS Squad Captain in New Haven for several years and was Parish Educator for WV-MD Synod of the ELCA. She was active in the Eastern Star, AARP and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Charleston, WV. She is survived by daughters, Beverly Brideaux (James) of Austin, Texas, Darlene Estes, RN, of Port Haywood, Va./Madison, W.Va., and Stephanie Shahbandy, RN, of Charleston; grandchildren, Capt. Kriket S. Holley, USMC (Jenny) of Jacksonville, N.C., Chloe Talbot of Austin, Texas, and Sabriyah Shahbandy and Samira Shahbandy of Charleston; and great-grandchildren, Cypher, Bastian and Chance Holley, all of North Carolina. She is also survived by a nephew, Robert J. McCune, J.D. (Maria) of Georgia; nieces, April McCune of Georgia and Sharon McCune Barth (Mark) of Texas; and close family friend, Lisa Dudding Lynch of Barboursville. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lavonia (Sugie) Caldwell, a niece and several nephews in the Clifton Forge, VA. Bunny's request was to be cremated. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Father McHenry of St. Stephen's Anglican Church officiating.
