Madeline Brown (Conner)
Madeline Conner Brown, 89, of 1900 Hillsmere Lane, Staunton, formerly of Goshen, died Saturday April 1, 2017 at Kings Daughter’s Community Health and Rehab in Staunton.
She was born April 25, 1927 in Clifton Forge a daughter of the late Lacy James and Dora Nicely Conner. She was a supervisor for 42 years at Still Water, Inc. and a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of forty two years; Roy A. Brown, Jr., two great-grandchildren; Caleb and Trent Thompson, a sister; Dorothy Potter, and two brothers; James and Floyd Conner.
She is survived by three daughters; Sharon Byram and her husband Floyd, Deborah Bowden and her husband Charles, and Cathy Powell and her husband Gary, a sister; Stella Walters all of Goshen, four grandchildren; Brock Byram, Michelle Lawhorn, Heather Thompson, Dustin Powell, four great grandchildren; Ethan and Cassandra Thompson, Dylan Byram, Katrina Lawhorn, her beloved pet; Missy and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 4, at Goshen United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Pysell officiating assisted by Pastor Lloyd Via. Interment will follow in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge and other times at the home of Deborah and Charles Bowden 125 Old Alleghany Circle, Goshen.
