Obituary for Lois Gray Tucker (Linkswiler)

Lois Gray Linkswiler Tucker, age 86, of 1200 Donovan Street, Selma, Virginia died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 26, 1930 in Glen Wilton, Virginia to the late Clifford Linkswiler and Annie McKinney Linkswiler. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and was a devoted and loving Pastor’s Wife who supported him throughout his ministry. Along with her children, she helped raise the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lois is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Howard Ray Tucker; a daughter, Cindy Sparks and husband Joey of Selma; a son, Danny Ray Tucker and wife Tonja of Clifton Forge; four grandchildren, Charati Sizemore of Selma, Matthew Sizemore and wife Jacklynn of Clifton Dale, Marc Sizemore and wife Nitalia of Covington, and Cameron Tucker of Clifton Forge; eight great grandchildren with a great great grandchild due in November; a special friend, Mary Beth Garten; and a special companion, Stormy the Cat. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Rev. Lee Dotson officiating. Interment immediately followed. A service to celebrate her life here and her going home to be with the Lord will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM in Epworth United Methodist Church, Selma. The family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016, or to Epworth United Methodist Church, PO Box 190, Selma, Virginia 24474.
