Ralph Otto Collier, Jr., age 71, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt 614, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany in Low Moor. He was born September 28, 1946 in Keokee (Lee County), Virginia to the late Ralph Otto Collier, Sr. and Helen M. Penley Collier. He was a retired partner and surveyor for B. C. Consultants. He is survived by a daughter, Victoria Buechling of Hagerstown, MD; two sons, Ralph Otto Collier of Linden and Charles Collier of; two sisters, Patricia Harris and husband Rodney and Freda Harris and husband Gene, both of Covington; a brother, Daniel Collier of Keymar, MD; two grandchildren, Amber Buechling and Aaron Buechling; his 6th floor friends and staff at Scott Hill Apartments; and his close friend, Jim Shaeffer. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Scott Hill Apartments, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating. Family and friends will gather together in his honor to share stories and memories. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The Salvation Army.
