Obituary for James Timothy "Timmy" Taylor

James Timothy “Timmy” Taylor, age 53, of 7020 North Mountain Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1964 in Charleton Heights, West Virginia to Bernita Morris Taylor Fridley, and the late James T. Taylor. He was the owner/operator for Taylor Road Assist and a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his farm on the Cowpasture River. He felt passionately about his towing business and worked hard to help those needing his services. He is survived by his wife, Jan Nicely Taylor of Clifton Forge; his mother, Bernita Morris Fridley and husband Wayne of Low Moor; two sons, Josh Taylor and wife Morgan of Tupelo, MS, and Trent Taylor of Roanoke; two step sons, G. W. Hoke, Jr. and Joshua Hoke; a brother, Michael Taylor and wife Susan of Clifton Forge, five grandchildren who knew him as “Papa T”, Hayley Paitsel, Jaxon Taylor, Jordyn Smith, Tyson Hoke, and Jaylin Hoke; a niece, Meagan Arbogast of West Virginia, and two nephews, Daniel Taylor and J. T. Taylor, both of Longdale; two uncles and seven aunts; his dog, Abby; and many special friends. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Doug Moore officiating. Following the service, his body will be cremated. The family will visit with friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home and also on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of service at Nicely Funeral home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Sharon Fire Department and First Responders, 3910 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
