Obituary for Reba Mandeville

Reba Ann Hyatt Mandeville, age 78, of 1909 Oakwood Drive, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, May 28, 2018 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany in Low Moor. She was born October 8, 1939 in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Tyler E. and Hannah Reynolds Hyatt. Reba was a retired President and C.E.O. of First National Bank of Clifton Forge, and was very active in her community, serving as treasurer of Clifton Forge Women’s Club, volunteering at the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center where she was a former board member, and also as a member and treasurer of the Central United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, cooking, and most of all her family. In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Mandeville, Sr.; a sister, Pansy McIntare; and six brothers, James Hyatt, Gilmer Hyatt, Jack Hyatt, Tyler “Tippy” Hyatt, Frank Hyatt, and Clyde Hyatt. She is survived by her children, Theresa “Terri” Mandeville of Moneta, and John Richard Mandeville, Jr. and wife Joyce of Buchanan; four brothers, Glenn Hyatt of Galax, Tom Hyatt of Greensboro, NC, Roy Hyatt of Fries, and Robert Hyatt of Atlanta, GA; a brother-in-law, Eddie Mandeville of Lynchburg; her grandson, Matthew Tyler Mandeville of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Brandon Nicely, Delbert Dudding, Timmy Nicely, Eddie Clark, Alan Johnson, Richard Gusler, Ronnie Sprinkle, and Tommy Slusser. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
