Obituary for Betty Johnson

Betty Jean Thacker Johnson, age 83, of 68 Hayden Loop, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at The Springs Nursing Home, Hot Springs, Virginia. She was born May 4, 1935 in Swoope, Virginia to the late Will Alley Thacker and Ethel Wahneta Smith Thacker. She was a self-employed beautician and a former member and officer of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Daniel Johnson; three sisters; one brother; and one great grandson, Everett Boone Johnson.She is survived by a son, Thomas William “Tommy” Johnson and wife Connie of Eagle Rock; two sisters; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Selena Carroll-Liptrap and husband Ronnie, and a special nephew, Steven Scruggs.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. Private services have already been held.
Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
