Peter Jay Nicely, age 62, of 421 Revere Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1955 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Warren Joseph Nicely, Sr. and Virginia Putnam Nicely. He served in the United States Army, and was a technician for Lee Hartman and Son. He was of the Presbyterian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde D. Nicely, David G. Nicely, Warren J. Nicely, Jr., Bertrand F. Nicely, Hudnall A. Nicely, and S. Keith P. Nicely; and a sister, Victoria Nicely. He is survived by a sister, Teresa Frye of Clifton Forge; a brother, Ryland J. Nicely of Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be a graveside service on September 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating.
