Obituary for Elsie Crawford

Elsie Joann Crawford, age 84, of The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Low Moor, Virginia died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at The Brian Center. She was born August 2, 1934 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Mack and Ellen Cooper Crawford. She was a housekeeper for Liberty House Nursing Home and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Crawford; two grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Crawford of Covington, and Janice Renee Crawford of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Virginia Halsey of Covington and Mary Wright of North Carolina; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a number of nieces. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM in Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gala, Virginia. There will be no visitation.
