Elsie Mae Simkins Overton, age 75, of 9708 Rich Patch Road, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.
She was born March 3, 1944 in South Carolina to the late Robert Simpkins. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Pete Shaner’s Greenhouse in Lexington.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother.
She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Larry Wayne Overton of Covington; a daughter, Trish Tate of Bristol; two sons, Jack Weddon of Rich Patch, Covington, and Robert Weddon of Nebraska; two sisters; a brother; five grandchildren; and special friends, Wayne and Clara Via.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no services at this time.
