Obituary for Jeanette Nicely Irvine

Jeanette Nicely Irvine, age 77, of 54 Woodlake Circle, Altavista, VA and formerly of Clifton Forge died Thursday, September 13, 2001 in the Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg.
She was born on January 18, 1924 in Clifton Forge a daughter of the late Thomas Nicely and Mary Peters Nicely Sharp.
She was a retired Nurses Aide for the C & O Hospital, Clifton Forge and Alleghany Regional Hospital and was a member of the Central Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Evonne and William “Gene” Haskins, Jr. of Amherst, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Heston M. and Brenda Irvine of Altavista who Mrs. Irvine made her home with; three grandchildren, Kimberly Irvine, Melissa Haskins and William “Billy” Haskins, III; one great grandson, Chase Haskins and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Montee Irvine in 1977 and a brother Woodrow Nicely in 1963.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Monday, September 17, 2001 from the Central Advent Christian Church, 3515 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge with Rev. Louis Dodd officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church.
