Obituary for Dorothy Ann Entsminger Taliaferro

Dorothy Ann Entsminger Taliaferro, age 92, of The Brian Center Nursing Care in Low Moor, Virginia died Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Brian Center. She was born March 8, 1920 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Albert and Nacey Wright Fridley. She was a production worker of Mizzy for over forty years and a member of Central Advent Christian Church. She was a proud member of the United Aerospace Workers Union. She was an honest and faithful person, a wonderful mother and wife, and a hard working woman who was worthy of respect. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cardinal Entsminger in 1978 and second husband, George Taliaferro in 1995; two brothers, Dempsey Fridley and Freemont Fridley; and a sister, Cleo Fridley. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Hardy of Covington, Jean Priest of St. Louis, MS, and Peggy Resnick and husband Frank of St. Louis, MS; two sons, Ronald Entsminger of San Diego, CA and Cardinal Entsminger, Jr. and wife Tammy of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Jeannette Rose of Iron Gate, and Juanita Hoke of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Alfred Fridley of Covington and Raymond Fridley of Clifton Forge; two grandsons, Nicholas Entsminger and Eric Vess, both of Clifton Forge; and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Dennis Nicely officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Douglas Wells, Lewis Linkenhoker, Michael Boguess, Ricky Swoope, George Jenkins, and John Bazzrea. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
