Carl Hezekiah  Mack
Carl Hezekiah Mack, age 72, of 593 Verge Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. Carl was born January 7, 1946 in Clifton Forge to the late Hezekiah Mack, Jr. and Doris Brown Mack. He was a retired Master Sergeant of United States Air Force and also retired from CSX Transportation as Road Foreman of Engines. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee Board and as an Usher. He was a member and Past Master of the John Barnes Masonic Lodge # 305, as well as Past District Deputy Grand Master. He belonged to the Twin Oaks Hunt Club, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, NASCAR, and Virginia Tech. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raphael Mack. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hatcher Mack of Clifton Forge; seven daughters, Mia Mack-Martin and husband Terry of Charlotte, NC, Gloria “GeGe” Mack of Clifton Forge, Deniece Robins, Patrice Grimes, Carlene Johnson, Doris Mack, and Robin Mack, all of Fort Walton Beach, FL; two sons, Carl Mack of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Justin Brown of Tennessee; two brothers, Richard Lloyd Mack and Richard Allen Mack, both of Clifton Forge; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his many friends from the railroad, hunt club, Air Force, and Masonic brotherhood. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. Carl Hezekiah Mack, age 72, of 593 Verge Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, February 08, 2018. In keeping with his wishes his body was cremated and a graveside memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00PM at Red Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with the Rev. Roslyn Thomas officiating. Interment will follow. Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.
