Obituary for Jean Shinault

Jean Shinault went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2018. She was born Jean Elizabeth Brown on August 11, 1933 to the late Neuvo Brown Rose, and Melvin Brown, Sr. She worked for many years at Hot Springs Pharmacy in Hot Springs, VA as a Pharmacy Assistant. Prior to that, she was employed at Jane Colby in Millboro, VA as a seamstress. She was an active member of Millboro Presbyterian Church, a prior member of the Millboro Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary, and charter member of the Millboro Ruritan Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She held great affection for nature and animals, enjoyed reading, yard sales, and was an avid football fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. She was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 60+ years, Walter Raymond Shinault, Jr., her daughter, Susan Creese Dillard, and her sons, Robert Allen Shinault and Gary Wayne Shinault. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings, Melvin Brown, Jr., Orlen Brown, Fred Brown, Benny Brown, and Loretta Greene. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Barry Layne Shinault, her daughter, Sharon Shinault Birchbichler, grandsons, Clay Creese (Katie), Colton Creese, granddaughter, McKinsey Creese Weyant (Dan), step granddaughter, Alexis Ryan, and great granddaughters, Priscilla Marie Creese, Alice Sue Weyant, and expected great granddaughter, Scarlett Sue Creese. Survivors also include her in-laws, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Mother’s Day, May 13th, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in Millboro Presbyterian Church in Millboro with Reverend John Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Windy Cove Cemetery in Millboro Springs. After the interment, a meal will be served at Millboro Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Millboro Presbyterian Church. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
