Alice Naomi Crawford Gordon, age 71, of 802 W. Ridgeway Street, Scott Hill Apartments, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence. She was born May 30, 1947 in Clifton Forge to the late Connie and Elise Hopkins Crawford. She was a mother and homemaker throughout her life and a member of Main Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin “Rip” Gordon, a brother, and a sister. She is survived by a daughter, Angel Crawford of New York, NY; two sons, Shalako Crawford of Charlottesville and Thomas Carr of Clifton Forge; a step daughter, Cortney Jett of Ashland, KY; a step son, Robbie Armstrong of Clifton Forge; eight grandchildren, Denzel Crawford of Miami, FL, Shalako Crawford, Jr. of Charlottesville, Josh Carr, Catelyn Carr, Allison Carr, Kristina Parker, Steven Parker, and Tamike Carr; several nieces and nephews; and a friend, Naomi Morgan. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Roslyn Thomas and Reverend Alfred Dearing officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of service at Main Street Baptist Church.
