Condolence From: Bonnie Britt
Condolence: Judy,
As Leonard's obituary states, you could tell he loved people. I can remember way back a long time
ago when my Dad & Mom were still living and I would
be home on Saturday mornings after having worked
all week in Roanoke and Leonard some Saturdays would drive into our driveway and visit. He had
been to the Rainbow Bread Outlet Store and he would
have "goodies" in the back of his car and he would
want my Mom & me to come outside and get some of them for our family. We would tell him we didn't
need anything, but he would insist so my Mom would choice a couple loaves of bread and several
snack cakes. Leonard would want her to take more
but she would say no thank you. Please give them
to others and that is what he would do. He stated he enjoyed going over to Roanoke and buying these food items up and sharing them with other people. He was definitely a "people person". I'm sure he will be dearly missed by all those who were close to him. Prayers go out to his family members at this sad time.

Condolence: We will miss knowing that Leonard is just across the field. He was a good neighbor and one of the very first to welcome us to White Rock Gap. He went out of his way at times to be helpful. Prayers for all whose lives will be emptier without him.
