Obituary for Wanda Deane

Wanda Belle Rowe Deane, age 79, of 23164 Botetourt Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at The Highland House, Clifton Forge.She was born February 19, 1939 in Mt. Carbon, West Virginia to the late Wilbur Dolph Rowe and Iola Blanche Petry Rowe. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Iron Gate Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edward Deane; a brother, Gary Rowe; and a son-in-law, David L. Mayo.She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Pendleton and husband Stephen of Eagle Rock, and Cecilia L. Wyant of Glen Wilton; a step daughter, Donna D. Mason of Hollins; a step son, Dennis E. Deane and wife Joye of Cary, NC; two grandchildren, Christopher Deane Mayo and Donald Bailey Mayo; three step grandchildren, Shannon Feazell and husband Tim, Robert Mason and wife Kathy, and Megan Deane; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment take place in Sharon Baptist Cemetery at a later time. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Beverly and Stephen Pendleton, 623 Soldiers Retreat Road, Eagle Rock, VA 24085. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteers, PO Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
