Obituary for Isaac Vest Sr.

Isaac Richard Vest, Jr., age 76, of 4819 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at The Highland House, Clifton Forge. Isaac was born March 4, 1942 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Isaac R. Vest, Sr. and Margaret E. Gibson Vest Dame. He served in the United States Army Reserve and was a laborer for MeadWestvaco. He was a lifetime member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was an active volunteer for the Clifton Forge Food Pantry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Angelia Beausoleil.
He is survived by a sister, Dianna V. Lyles of Fort Myers, FL; a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Vest, Sr. of Clifton Forge; two aunts, Catherine Van Ness and Virginia Gibson; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Tammy Mason and Tommy Vest, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw and Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church Building Fund. 544 Church St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422, or to Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteers, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
