Obituary for Rosa Corinthia Scott-Johnson

Rosa Corinthia Scott-Johnson, age 77, of 139 Matheny Lane, Millboro, Virginia died Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Alleghany Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clifton Forge.
She was born on June 27, 1941 in Bath County, Virginia to the late Eugene and Nannie Flood Scott. She graduated from Watson High School in Covington, and was a self-employed housekeeper and member of both Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Siloam Baptist Church in Millboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Ruff and Ruth Minor; and a brother, Reginald Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Russell Wade Johnson of Millboro; a sister, Ella Cabiness of Danville; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Scott of Roanoke and Lollie Berry of Washington D.C.; two nieces, Teresa M. Scott of Clifton Forge and Yvette Marshall and husband Hubert of Roanoke; five nephews, Jeffrey Leon Scott of Covington, and Calvin Vernon Scott and Donald Scott, both of Roanoke, Richard Berry and wife Lynette, and Stephen Berry, both of Lanaham, MD; four great nephews, Danny Scott, Kenneth Scott, Donovan Scott-Davis, and Ernest Escobar; a special cousin, Doris Turner Hayes of Covington; and two additional cousins, James Turner, Jr. and family of Richmond, and James and Faith Palmer and family of Williamsburg.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 8, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Diane Quarles officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
