Albert Bernard Sledd, age 64, of 305 S. Royal Ave., Covington, Virginia died Friday, October 25, 2019 at LewisGale-Alleghany, Low Moor.
He was born September 12, 1955 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Nathaniel E. Sledd Sr., and Jeanette Spinner Sledd. He was a flagman for ManPower and a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Clifton Forge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gwen Sledd.
He is survived by two sons, Corey A. “Toni” Jeter, Sr. and Albert A. Sledd; a daughter, Marquetta S. Sledd; a brother, Nathaniel E. Sledd Jr.; a sister, Cheryl Yvonne Person; long-time special friend, Renee Wright; an aunt, Louise Sledd Braxton of Salem; an uncle, George Sledd and wife Ernestine of Williamsburg; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Main Street Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Preston Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Main Street Baptist Church.
