Troy Daniel Robinson, 43, of 401 5th Street, Iron Gate died Friday February 14, 2020 in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He was born on March 26, 1976 In Clifton Forge a son of Lloyd Ray Robinson, Sr. and Bernice Kathleen Godfrey Robinson. He was a member of the Jackson Memorial Church of God in Christ in Iron Gate, and the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge. He was employed as a truck driver for B & D Trucking. Troy was also a member of and the Assistant Chief of the Iron Gate Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Asberry and Bernice Godfrey, his paternal grandparents, James and Hazel Robinson, and a nephew Ray Robinson, III. In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancée, Jamilia Zeigler, of Iron Gate; two daughters, Kayla Campbell and boyfriend Cody, of Covington, Navada Robinson, of Salem; a son Chance Shepherd, of Lynchburg; six brothers, Lloyd Ray Robinson, Jr. and wife Cindy, of Roanoke, Calvin Robinson and wife Jean, Jeffrey Robinson, both of Clifton Forge, Anthony Robinson, James Robinson, and Barry Robinson, both of Clifton Forge; numerous nieces and nephews, a special friend, Wayne Kincaid, of Covington; his Iron Gate Volunteer Fire Department and Clifton Forge Moose Lodge families, and his two dogs, Cowboy and Cooper. In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated and a memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Saturday February 22, 2020 at the Iron Gate Volunteer Fire Department, with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends and share a time of fellowship at the Fire Department immediately following the service.
