Obituary for Phyllis Yancey
Phyllis Jean Hoke Yancey, age 79, of The Woodlands Health and Rehab, 1000 Fairview Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at The Woodlands.
She was born February 8, 1941 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Clyde and Leana Pearl Alderman Hoke. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Thomas and two brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Dean of Apopka, FL; a son, John Yancey of Wintergarden, FL; and a sister, Bonnie Hepler of Covington.
Due to the current public health conditions, a private graveside service will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements. Friends may visit at Nicely Funeral Home anytime on Thursday during normal business hours.
