Obituary for Jacqueline Franklin

Jacqueline Ross “Jackie” Franklin, age 82, of 210 Second Ave, Clifton Forge, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 19, 2020, surrounded by her family at her residence.

She was born August 9, 1938 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Codie Ashby Ross and Evelyn Clarke Ross. She was a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church, a member of Annie Gardner Circle of the church, and a member of the Clifton Forge Ladies of the Moose. She was a supervisor for the former Jane Colby Apparel and Halmode of Covington. She loved her family, sewing, reading and spending time on Lake Moomaw. She was a loving and giving servant of the community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Donald Franklin; two sisters, Carol Ross Wills and Sandy Chandler; her mother and father in law, Virginia and Carmine Ersel Remley; and son in law, Jim Moore.

She is survived by five daughters, Victoria Moore of Low Moor, Donita Franklin, Lisa Black and husband Rick, Sue Higgins and husband Tim, Betsy Rogers and husband Walter all of Clifton Forge; a son, Ashby Franklin and Reecie Elmore of Selma; two sisters, Norma Dressler of Millboro, Nancy Killian and husband Gary of Clifton Forge; a brother, C.A Ross and wife Linda of West Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00PM in the Lone Star Advent Christian Church Family Life Center with Reverend Doug Moore officiating. The Clifton Forge Ladies of the Moose rites will be conducted at the service. Pallbearers will be Ashby Franklin, Austin Cole, John Hoover, Cordale Elmore, Ethanael Elmore, and Hunter Barron. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Robinson, Kimper Hoke, Klayden Downey, Daniel Angle and Konner Hoke. Interment will be held in Higgins Family Cemetery, Higgins Hollow Road, Clifton Forge.
