Obituary for Carolyn Barbour
Carolyn Ann Conner Cary Barbour, age 69, former Iron Gate native, went peacefully to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in StJohnsville, New York.
She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia on May 23, 1951 to the late William and Estelle Conner. Carolyn worked in healthcare as Certified Nursing Assistant for most of her adult life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kristina Barbour and her husband, Roy "Bobby” Barbour.
She is survived by a son, Tim Cary and wife Beth of Fairfield, a daughter, Stacy Lamack and husband Matthew of Chesapeake, two grandchildren, Taylor Barbour and Drew Lamack, five great-grandchildren, a brother, William Conner and wife Kim of Covington, a sister, Beverly Hicks and husband Ben of Daleville, and five nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated. There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Diabetic Association, P.O. Box 7023
