Pansy Thomas Wrenn, age 80, of Clifton Forge, Virginia passed away on December 21, 2020 at Sterling Care South Mountain nursing facility in Boonsboro, Maryland.
Pansy was born in Clifton Forge, VA on November 14, 1940 to Nina Nicely Thomas and Edgar Thomas. She was a retired x-ray technician having worked for the C&O and Alleghany Regional hospitals as well as private offices from 1965-1986 in Clifton Forge. She finished her career at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, MD in 1994. She was a long-time member of Central Advent Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Pansy enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, exploring family genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son, John Christopher.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Butch” Wrenn of Clifton Forge; daughter Tracy Webster and husband Jeff of Bluemont VA; sons, Gerald “Bo” Wrenn, Jr. and wife Jami of Winchester Virginia; Matt Wrenn and wife Cindy of Knoxville, MD; and seven grandchildren; Karisa Wrenn, Ethan Wrenn, Madison Webster, Ryleigh Webster, Sarah Wrenn, Colin Wrenn and Maci Wrenn.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 26th, 2020 at 11:00 am in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Ayers officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
