Obituary for Lewis Meadows
Lewis R. Meadows, age 88, of Virginia Beach, Virginia was called home on March 18, 2021.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Beatrice Tyree Meadows, and siblings, Aline Showalter, William Meadows, Jr., and Harold Meadows.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lois Collins Meadows of Virginia Beach; a son, Lewis “Randy” Meadows, Jr. and wife Kelly of Chesapeake; a daughter, Sherry Nelson and husband Rick of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Brandon Meadows and wife Carin, Rusty Meadows, and James Bain; and great grandson, Cameron Meadows.
Lewis was a United States Army veteran and later worked as an Electrician Supervisor with NARF. He loved spending time with his family, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Rocky Washburn, Ricky Meadows, Brandon Meadows, Randy Meadows, Rick Nelson and Steven Keyser. Clinton Collins will be an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
