Obituary for Catherine Berry (Meador)

Catherine Juanita Meador Berry, age 85, of 412 Church Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, May 10, 2021 at The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Low Moor.
She was born December 25, 1935 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Claude Henry Meador and Hattie Myrrel Harmon Meador. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Clifton Forge. She enjoyed fishing, but was a homebody and loved staying at home and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge and the Burnside-Carpenter Post 4299 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was a huge supporter of Veterans and the Humane Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Stanley Berry, Sr. in 2014, and brothers, Robert Meador, J. T. Meador, Billy Meador, and James Meador. She is survived by her sons, Robert Berry, Jr. and wife Shari of Las Vegas, NV, William Lawrence Berry of Covington, and Stuart Wayne Berry and girlfriend Missy of Selma; twelve grandchildren, Ben Berry, Billy Berry, Duane Berry, Brandon Berry, Ethan Berry, Hattie Beard, Jessica Harmon, Marina Hawkins, Darren Perry, Casandra Perry, Kristine Perry, and Devin Davis; 21 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her dog “Trixie”.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lower Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Active pallbearers will be Billy Berry, Ethan Berry, Jason Beard, Devin Davis, Daniel Harmon, Brandon Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Berry, Lawrence Berry, Stuart Berry, and Elwood Deisher. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
