Alan Byron Wills, age 65, of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Saint Frances Hospital in Memphis.
Alan was born December 25, 1956 in Clifton Forge to Joyce Armentrout Wills and the late Byron Lafayette Wills. Alan was a 1975 graduate of Clifton Forge High School, received an Associate’s Degree in math from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electronics and Engineering from West Virginia University, and served in the United Stated Air Force for nine years as ACFT Armament Systems Specialist. He was a retired truck driver for Swift Transfer.
In addition to his father, Alan was preceded in death by Judy Nicely Craighead.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Wills of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Christina Wills of Waynesboro; two sons, Jeremy Wills of Memphis, TN and Keith Wills of Georgia; two sisters, Joy Knick, and husband Randy, and Robyn Wills, both of Clifton Forge; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Tim Huffman.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Grover Nicely officiating.
