Obituary for Lee Dalton "Donnie" Underwood
Lee Dalton “Donnie” Underwood, age 81, of 718 John Tyler Street, Selma, Virginia died Sunday, June 19, 2022 at The Woodlands Health and Rehab, Clifton Forge, Virginia.
He was born January 17, 1941 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Lee B. and Violet Via Underwood. Lee served in the U.S. Army and retired from 319 Carpenters Local of Roanoke. He loved hunting and Virginia Tech. Lee was a member of C.C. Hunt Club, Clifton Forge Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #1065 and the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge #1683.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; two sisters, Agnes Underwood Vint and Eva Sullivan; and a grandson, Jack Stull.
Lee is survived by his wife, Linda Peters Underwood of Selma; two daughters, Windy Stull and husband Myron of Covington, Richie F. Underwood of Huntsville, AL; two sons, Mitch Underwood and wife Amanda of Potts Creek and Scott Lee Underwood of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren, Morgan Katelyn “Katie” Selman, Lauryn Richmond, Savanna Underwood and Avery Underwood; three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home. Following the service his body will be cremated.
