Obituary for Orville Richard Jenkins Sr.

Orville Richard Jenkins, Sr., 78, passed away June 11, 2022 at his home in Cold Spring, Ky.

Richard was a retired manager of the Queensgate Diesel Locomotive Shop in Cincinnati, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 17 years, and was a member of the Fort Thomas Masonic Lodge #808 F&AM. He enjoyed hunting and time spent on the Cowpasture River in Virginia.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George T. and Genoa (Wallace) Jenkins and a brother, Danny R. Jenkins.

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Sinar Jenkins, daughter, Michelle J. Krebs (Joe), son, O. Richard (Rick) Jenkins, Jr., brothers George Jenkins, Jr. of Clifton Forge, and Robert Jenkins of New Kent, Va. He is survived by his grandchildren, Lauren K. (Andrew) Conley, Rebecca (Ryan) Moore, Liz (Donnie) Dickenson, Tim (Erin) Krebs, 10 great grandchildren, and a very special cousin, V. Clay Hayslett. Also many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, Richard has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Ayers officiating. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
