Obituary for Margaret Conner (Lewis)
Margaret Lewis Conner, age 86, of 5794 West Midland Trail, Lexington, Virginia died Monday, August 8, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.
She was born November 1, 1935 in Natural Bridge, Virginia to the late Carl Lewis and Louise Camden Lewis. She was a cafeteria worker for Rockbridge County Schools, a member of Central Advent Christian Church and a member of Loving Rebekahs Lodge. Margaret loved life and attending church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Hartless, Brenda Markham, Janet Agner; two brothers, John Lewis and Dick Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Harold Conner of Lexington; two sons, Donald Andrew Conner of Roanoke and Calvin Lewis Conner of Richmond; two grandchildren, James Andrew Conner and Sarah Elizabeth Conner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00AM in Central Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Boothe, Duane Boothe, Greg Vess, Chris Vess, Mike Layton, Eddie Smith, and Phillip Taylor. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Central Advent Christian Church, 3515 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
