Obituary for Mollie Marie Clark (Rhea)
Mollie Marie Rhea Clark, age 90, of Millboro, Virginia died peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2022 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor, Virginia.
She was born June 13, 1932 in Millboro, Virginia to the late James Talley Rhea and Catheren Ann Matheny Rhea. She was a registered nurse for most of her working career. She was a C&O nurse and always had time to talk about her past. She delighted in regaling listeners with stories about nursing school and the operating room (just the funny stuff). She loved getting together with “the girls” from the OR. Unfortunately, their numbers have dwindled down over the past several years. Additionally, her faith played a huge part of who she was. She always had time to share her faith and beliefs with people. Recently, she looked forward to when she would see her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thankfully, she is now resting peacefully in his arms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, James Wilson Rhea, William Gratton Rhea, and Mary Ann Rhea Salter; her only daughter, Brenda Marie Fowler in 2001; her husband, James Andrew Clark in 2004; and her daughter in law, Lisa Epperly Clark in 2021.
She is survived by her only son, James Brenton Clark of Covington; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00PM in Calvary Memorial Cemetery, Millboro with Reverend Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Calvary Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit during business hours at Nicely Funeral Home.
