Obituary for Betty Potter Harlow

Betty Potter Harlow, age 83, 306 Dairy Street, Covington, Virginia passed peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her residence with her daughter by her side.
She was born February 17, 1939 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Woodrow Clayton Mynes and Elsie Angle Mynes. She worked for Jane Colby for 18 years and was a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Physical Therapy Department at the former Liberty House Nursing Home. Betty was a devoted life time member of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose Club, where she earned her cap and gown, and also the Clifton Forge Elks Club. She enjoyed playing golf with her family and was an avid UVA sports fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Potter, Jr.; a brother, Harold Mynes; a sister, Elizabeth Owens; her former husband, Robert Larry Potter, Sr.; and son-in-law, Mike Snead.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Fix and husband Todd of Covington; two brothers, Richard Mynes, and wife Libby of Covington, and Samuel Mynes, and wife Bonnie, of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Gloria Mynes of Covington and Wanda Mundy of Clifton Forge; a grandson, Dustin Potter; a granddaughter, Whitney Delp, and husband, Zach; four great grandchildren, Ryland, Nora, Boone, and Avelyn “JoJo”; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
