Obituary for Ida May Bunch (Crummett)
Ida May Crummett Bunch, age 78, of Ridge Road, Millboro, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her residence.
She was born September 4, 1944 to the late Charles Elmer Crummett, Sr. and Mary Rosa Ella Hodge Crummett. She was a cook at Ida’s Place.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bunch; two daughters, Mary Ann Nicholson and Denise Helena Sturms; a brother, Charles Crummett, Jr.; a sister, Doris Ann Crummett, and a granddaughter, Tiese Ginger Howard.
She is survived by a daughter, Hallie Putnam (Roy Lovejoy, Jr.) of Newport News; a son, Charles “Chuckie” Nicholson (Rose) of Goshen; a sister, Mary Cauley of Millboro; seven grandchildren, Melissa Messer (Ricky), Kristina Welcher, John Michael Nicholson (Candace Johnson), Alecia McCung (Richard), Timothy Putnam (Ashley Perry), Brittany Putnam (Edward Reese III), and William Fridley, Jr. (Christina); nineteen great grandchildren; special friend, April Robinson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 2:00PM in Lockridge Cemetery, Highland County with Reverend Billy Gram officiating. Pallbearers will be, Tuck Grimm, Jason Atkins, Jason Burke, Terry Woodson, David Putnam, and Billy Ray Ryder. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
