Obituary for Ruth Darlene Brewster (Fridley)
Ruth Darlene Fridley Brewster, age 75, of 1 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, November 7, 2022.
She was born on December 28, 1946 in Alleghany County to the late James Tavender Fridley, Sr. and Lillian Kitt Fridley. She was a laborer for Bacova Guild and loved cooking and trying new recipes. She also enjoyed watching soap opera’s and playing games on her phone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Brewster, Jr.; three brothers, James Tavender Fridley, Phillip Ray Fridley, William Oliver Fridley; a sister, Sandra Lee Kirk; two brothers-in-law, Junior Howard Jackson Dawson and Everette Kent Bowen.
She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Brewster (William Cary); a grandson, Zachary Nicely; five sisters, Judy Craft (Wesley), Vickie DePriest (Thomas), Susie Deacon (Barry), Jewel Brewster (Harold), and Jean Dawson; three brothers, Paul Fridley, Bobby Fridley (Tammy), and Gordon Fridley; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00AM in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend Mike Fisher officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Pallbearers will be Tommy Sr., Tommy Jr., Willie Cary, Rob Fridley, Gordon Fridley, James Kirk, and Tab Fridley.
