Obituary for Paul Fred Terry Jr.

Paul Fred Terry, Jr., age 66, of 425 Verge Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clifton Forge.

He was born on August 6, 1956 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Paul Fred Terry Sr., and Pauline Austin Terry. He attended Bridgewater College and received a degree in criminal justice. He became a police officer and animal control officer in Clifton Forge in the early 70’s. He then became a truck driver for thirty years out of Roanoke. Paul loved his music and helped put together Bella Boys local country band. Country and Gospel were his favorite music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Paula Smith and Jenny Sherron; and a granddaughter, Emma Nicole Terry.

He is survived by a daughter, Tessa Terry of Clifton Forge; a son, Joey Terry of Bath County; five sisters, Paulette Terry, Donna Taliaferro and husband, James, Peggy Nelson and husband George, Betty Layton and husband, Mike, and Roxane Unroe; two brothers, Roger “Pete” Terry and wife, Vicki, Amos Kern and wife, Ann all of Clifton Forge; three grandchildren, Christian Harless, Destanee Terry, Chase Terry; an aunt, Charlotte Bellflowers; special nieces and nephews, Timmy and Sammy Puffenbarger, Karyn and Bucky Pullen, Santana Unroe; special friends, John Broughman, Cooter Clark and Chuckie and Becky Little; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00AM in Central Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Ayers and Reverend Brandon Nicely officiating.
