Obituary for Al Thomas ""Tommy"" Stone Jr.
Al Thomas “Tommy” Stone, Jr., age 67, of 2306 Benson Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at his residence.
Tommy was born March 5, 1955 in Clifton Forge to the late Al Thomas Stone, Sr. and Martha DeHart Stone. He was a security guard for Virginia Power and also previously worked as a police officer for the town of Clifton Forge. He attended St. Stephens Episcopal Church and loved fishing and football.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Campbell Stone of Clifton Forge, whom he married on August 15, 1974; two daughters, Rachel Benito and husband Tony of Indianapolis, IN and Marsha Steele and husband Rob of Franklin; a sister, Honey Bartges and husband Danny of Staunton; seven grandchildren, Corey Rowan, Lonnis Mitchell III, Christopher Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, Savannah Steele, Owen Steele, and Olivia Steele; a great granddaughter, Acelynn Mitchell; a niece, Jennifer Armstrong; a great nephew, Joseph Hevener; close family friend, Elwood Deisher; and his pet companion, Buddy.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services at this time.
