Obituary for Eleanor Breeden Richmond
Eleanor Louise Breeden Richmond, age 88, of 1506 South Greenlawn Avenue, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Eleanor was born December 9, 1934 in Covington to the late Robert Gray and Blanche L. Stover Breeden. She previously worked for Halmode Apparel in Covington, was a greeter for Walmart, and a member of United Baptist Church of Ogles Creek, Covington. She was an Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell G. Richmond; two brothers, Norman Breeden and Calvin Breeden, and three sisters, Pauline Hall, Nellie Norsie, and Helen Mays.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Graham and husband Donald P. Graham, Jr. of Covington and Zona Gail Sanford and husband Ray of Eagle Rock; two sons, Keith Allen Richmond, and wife Maria, and Justin Dale Richmond, both of Covington; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and two pet companions, Sassy and Rusty.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the United Baptist Church of Ogles Creek, C/O Donald P. Graham, Sr., 7315 Ogles Creek Rd, Covington, VA 24426.
