Obituary for Jamie Ray McDavid
Jamie Ray McDavid, age 62, of 3612 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, February 10, 2023 at The Highland House in Clifton Forge.
Jamie was born January 5, 1961 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Arnold James and Elnora Grey Nicely McDavid. He was a waste collector for Alleghany County and a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church. He also attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Jamie enjoyed spending time outdoors and listening to music, and he especially loved spending time with his daughters, granddaughters, and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Ann Persinger McDavid. He is survived by his daughters, Serena Grey McDavid of Longdale, Clifton Forge, and Jamie Lee Dolly and husband Kris of White Sulfur Springs, WV; a sister, Patricia Johnson and husband Mark of Covington; two brothers, Conrad McDavid of Morehead, KY and Patrick McDavid and wife Staci of Grayson, KY; two granddaughters, Kaylynne Talia McDavid and Lyla McDavid; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gene Ayers officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
