Obituary for Jennifer Anderson Owens
Jennifer Anderson Owens, age 70, of 1711 Glen Wilton Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia passed away peacefully while listening to Jimmy Buffett on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Low Moor, Virginia.
Jennifer was born April 29, 1952 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Graham and Julia McSherry Anderson. She worked as an office manager for the former Rose’s Department Store and had attended Clifton Forge Baptist Church with her family throughout her childhood. She loved spending time with her family, vacationing at The Outer Banks, reading, and enjoying a good glass of wine.
In addition to her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Douglas “Frank” Owens, and the father of her grandchildren, Mark Keith.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Elizabeth Griffith and wife Paola of Salem; her step mother, Jo Ann Anderson of Clifton Forge; a step daughter, Ingle Owens of Georgia; a sister, Cynthia Higgins of Clifton Forge; a brother, Jeffrey Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Judy Runford and husband Jim and Marta Owens Breedlove; four grandchildren, Alexis Jordan “A.J.” Keith-Givens and husband Adam, Morgan Nicole Keith, RaeAnna Ruth Schnars, and Elijah Curtis Schnars; a number of nieces and nephews; a good friend, Terry Windsor; as well as her dog, Finley, and her cats, Hamilton, Missy, and Snuggles.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no services at this time. The family will receive friends at Jennifer and Frank’s home on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
