Obituary for Ann Paige Richmond
Ann Paige Richmond, age 58, of 15535 Mountain Valley Road, Warm Springs, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.
Ann was born June 5, 1964 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Clyde Aubrey and Brenda Southers Broughman. She married Justin “J.D.” Richmond, and together they had a son, Justin Dale Richmond, Jr. For many years, she worked at The Springs Nursing Home as a housekeeper. She loved her job, and enjoyed spending time with residents. She loved also spending time with her dogs, Sadie and Kane, and on a beautiful day, you could always find Ann sitting on the porch with them. She enjoyed joy rides, and especially loved to go riding around with her son, “J.R.” and look at the Christmas Lights every year. She was always glad when all her friends would come to visit her, including her son’s friends, which she would say were her “adopted kids”.
She is survived by her son, Justin Richmond, Jr. of Warm Springs; his father and her friend, Justin Richmond, Sr.
They would love for everybody to come celebrate Ann’s life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Steve Shaver officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hamilton II, Harvey Wolfe, Jeremy Ward, Justin Woodzell, Jay Cook, Jeremiah Pauley, and Greg Rogers. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions, which will be applied to Ann’s funeral expenses, c/o Summit Community Bank, 9406 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24442.
