Obituary for Jackie Lee Chambers

Jackie Lee Chambers, age 82, of 2436 Almost Heaven Road, Covington, Virginia died at home on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
He was born October 14, 1940 in Danville, West Virginia, a son of the late George Dennis and Virgie Nell Miller Chambers. He graduated from West Virginia Tech in electrical engineering, and retired from Hercules, Inc. in 1997 as an electrical engineer. After his retirement, he worked for Chris Neil Electric as an electrical contractor and construction carpenter. He was of the Christian faith and his spirit has returned to his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his of wife of 63 years, Glenna Chambers of Covington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Catherine Johnson Chambers and Craig and Jennifer Griffith Chambers, all of Covington; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ella Mae Chambers Dolin of Albertville, AL, Geneva Chambers of Danville, WV, and Sharon Chambers Williams and Harold of Danville, WV; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Ray and Juanita Javins Chambers of Marmet, WV; one grandson, Christopher Chambers and wife Savannah of Covington; one granddaughter, Brittney Chambers Filips and husband Christian of Clifton Forge; two great granddaughters, Eleanor Mae Filips and Liliana Chambers of Clifton Forge; two great grandsons, Parley Emmett Filips of Clifton Forge and Lucca Layne Chambers of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, the body was cremated. Cremains will be placed in the Monte Vista division of Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor at a later date.
