As a child all I remembered from Nani's was the biscuits fresh out of the oven when we showed up. She hugged us all, told us all to sit on a stool and talk with her about what we were doing. I always loved watching her cook or show us what she was working on in the house. She always had toys in her closet, the same closet she sat next to in the couch after she couldn't walk anymore. Since she's been miserably cooped up in the house, I've really wished I could go back and relive those moments. I wish I could take in the messiness of her cozy little house, smell those biscuits a little more closely, and really talk to her like I wish I could now.
