Obituary for Deanna Lynne Grimes

Deanna Lynne Grimes, age 30, of 417 W. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. She was born June 26, 1985 in Clifton Forge to Rebecca Grimes and the late William Cary. She was very involved in various charitable works of the Asphalt Assault Car Club, and was a fundraiser for Safe Homes. She enjoyed helping others in any way possible, and loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Abigail Rapp and her maternal grandfather, Kay Grimes. She is survived by her mother, Becky Grimes of Clifton Forge, and two brothers, William T. Cary of Clifton Forge and Michael K. Grimes of Covington. In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Safe Homes of Covington.
