Obituary for Byron Caesar "Tuffy" Smith Jr.

Byron Caesar “Tuffy” Smith, Jr., age 67, of 1012 Rose Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor. He was born March 19, 1949 in Lexington, Virginia to the late Byron Caesar Smith, Sr. and Sylvia Scott Smith. He was a retired for the Clifton Forge Police Department and a former security guard for Tandy Corporation in Fort Worth, TX. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clifton Forge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson and daughter-in-law. He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Chandler of Wataugha, TX and Crystal Garlock of Lake Worth, TX; three sons, Carl W. Smith, Sr. of Fort Worth, TX, Kenneth Smith and wife Melinda of Dallax, TX, and Christopher Smith of Fort Worth, TX; a sister, Deborah Caesar of Sterling; eleven grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rosa Waddy-Smith of Clifton Forge. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Roslyn Thomas officiating.
