Obituary for Marie McCoy Zimmerman

Marie McCoy Zimmerman, age 86, of Christian Lane, Millboro, Virginia died Thursday, January 2, 2003 in the Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.
She was born in Millboro, Virginia on April 2, 1916 a daughter of the late Wallace Grove McCoy and Lillian Mae Harris McCoy.
Mrs. Zimmerman was the former co-owner of the Country Store in Millboro, a member of the Millboro Presbyterian Church where she was the oldest member in the membership.
She is survived by two sisters, Virginia C. Liptrap of Thornburg, VA and Ada M. Cash of Staunton, VA; two brothers, Kenneth W. McCoy of Staunton and Andrew J. McCoy of Millboro; a special niece, Faye Simmons and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Lawrence Zimmerman; one sister, Mazie M. Kimball; and five brothers, Roy P. McCoy, Wallace G. McCoy, Jr., Charles D. McCoy, Palmer W. McCoy and James E. McCoy.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2003 from the Windy Cove Cemetery, Millboro with Rev. John Haney and Rev. Otis Fisher officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service at the Millboro Presbyterian Church. Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of the arrangements.
The family suggest memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Millboro Presbyterian Church, Millboro, VA 24460 or to the Millboro Area Rescue Squad, PO Box 295, Millboro, VA 24460.
