His kindness
Officer Nicely answered a call for an accident. I had backed into another car and wanted a report for insurance. Because it was on private property we ended up giving the other people the insurance information. While Mr. Nicey was there so was my grand childern who were all excited about the police office, his gun and his police car. I was trying to get the kids to go back inside and Officer Nicley kindly answered what seemed like 10 million questions, showed them his gun never letting them touch it, showed them his handcuffs, he turned on the blue lights with siren to squeals and giggles. My oldest grandson (at the time was about 8 years old) still remembers this and whats to be a police officer when he grows up. What an impression Officer Nicely made on this young boy. In just the few minutes he took from his busy schedule on a Saturday afternoon he made some little kids really happy and showed them Police Officer's are good people.
I just wanted his family to know how special their loved one was. He will be missed by so many people. I am sincerly sorry for your loss and the loss to Alleghany Co Sheriff Dept.
