Brenda Lou Fridley (Overton)
Brenda Lou Overton Fridley, 64, of 802 W. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge died Friday August 16, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.
She was born February 13, 1955 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Odie Lee “Buck”, Jr. and Peggy Franklin Overton. She was a member of the Selma Church of the Brethren and a home maker throughout her life.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Linda Sue Miller and a sister-in-law, Elsie Overton.
She is survived by two daughters, Tonya Fridley and fiancée Jody Malcom, of Covington, Tammy Fridley and fiancée John Ruble, of North Carolina; three sons, Daniel Fridley and his wife Roscoe, of Low Moor, Scottie Fridley and his wife and Brenda’s caregiver Crystal, Darien Fridley and his wife Kahla, all of Covington; a brother Larry Overton, of Low moor; seventeen grandchildren, Danny, and Bailey Fridley, Roman Windsor, Timothy Fridley, Andrew Windsor, Tyler, and Trevor Fridley, Nicholas Wolfe, S.J. Fridley, Walter Ruble, Jr., Montana and Dicey Ruble, Kyleigh, Xavier, Cayson, Makynlie, and Makynzie Fridley; three great-grandchildren, Aubree, Adleigh and Landon Windsor; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge with Pastor Karl Reese officiating. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons with Donnie Whitt and Michael Jackson serving as an alternates. Interment will immediately follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Covington.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00PM- until 8:00 PM on Monday at Nicely Funeral Home.
