Condolence: Libby I will miss you my friend, I am blessed to have gotten to know Libby and I wish I would have met her for sooner because she was so special to Lainey and I. She always had a hug and a smile for me and Lainey , always cheering her on! I know she will always be with us in spirit! Every pageant I will think of Libby, we will always remember how kind and thoughtful she was to everyone she met. When you met Libby, you met a friend! She will be missed by the whole VA pageant community, she touched our lives and she was a one of kind personality. Love and prayers to her family, we will always be here if you need anything.

Condolence: Libby was an extraordinary woman, mother, wife, sister and aunt who touched everyone profoundly in her all-too-short life.

She was my aunt, but more like a cousin to my sisters and I as we grew up being close in age.

Whenever we'd visit Covington from our hometown, Hopewell, we'd race into (her father's) our grandfather's house to get on the phone to call Libby to let her know we had arrived and to arrogantly demand she "come quickly." She always did much to our delight. We were always SO excited to see her; she made the long, tortuous drive there worth it. She exuded love and warmth, and was just a special, unique individual.

I'm sorry I fell out of touch with her living most of my adult life in San Antonio, Texas, but forever grateful I got to see her before her illness robbed her prematurely of the long life she deserved. I regret too not getting to know her beautiful daughters, Katie and Kylene, and her wonderful husband extraordinaire, Buzzy, better. I'm so sorry for your tragic loss and heartbreak.

I already had a flight/trip to Memphis in motion for this weekend; otherwise I would be at the service to shed tears together with all of Libby's loved ones. I hope the next time I visit Covington for another walk down memory lane, I have the opportunity to meet BOTH of Libby's beloved daughters and two grandchildren.

May God give her family the strength to cope with this terrible chapter in their lives by remembering all the wonderful times together and Libby's perpetual, infectious smile and "twinkling blue eyes."
